Après des parcours différents en Belgique et en France, Ahmed Ayed et Seifeddine Manai s’allient pour une
performance mêlant danse, théâtre et musique live.
… And Nobody Else est la quête d’un « soi » libre dans une enveloppe étriquée. Une rencontre avec plusieurs
versions de soi-même à travers la transformation du corps .
Le titre de la pièce est directement inspiré de Peer Gynt , d’Henrik Ibsen. C’est la devise du personnage principal:
« Sois toi-même et personne d’autre » .
Peer Gynt est un anti-héros, un looser fascinant. Au début de l’histoire, il est ce juvénile sauvage, incompris, qui veut
faire flamber ce monde trop étroit pour s'embraser dans un absolu inconditionnel. Il incarne l'ambition fougueuse et
démesurée de la jeunesse face à la pâle réalité. Peer Gynt est le jeune homme qui ne veut pas choisir car il ne peut
accepter les conséquences qui y sont liées et encore moins assumer de quelconques responsabilités. Il ne peut se
résoudre à se ranger dans une case. Pour abattre le carcan de cette réalité et s’en échapper, il se réfugie dans des
histoires fantastiques. Mais il sera toujours rattrapé et confronté violemment, à plusieurs reprises, à ses responsabilités
et à une réalité imposée par les autres.
Il ne trouvera aucun répit tant qu’il sera enfermé dans un rôle. Il veut être l’empereur du monde, atteindre la liberté
absolue. Mais il ne peut atteindre son but sans laisser derrière lui ceux qui ont fait partie de sa vie. Il doit lâcher du
leste pour pouvoir aller plus haut.

... And Nobody Else is the quest for a free 'self' in a tight envelope. An encounter with several versions of oneself through the transformation of the body.
The title of the play is directly inspired by Henrik Ibsen's Peer Gynt. It is the motto of the main character:
"Be yourself and no one else'.
Peer Gynt is an anti-hero, a fascinating loser. At the beginning of the story he is this wild, misunderstood youth who wants to set the world on fire, too narrow to be set ablaze in an unconditional absolute. He embodies the fiery and of youth in the face of pale reality. Peer Gynt is the young man who does not want to choose because he cannot accept the consequences, let alone take on any responsibility.
He cannot bring himself to fit into a box. In order to break down the straitjacket of this reality and escape from it, he takes refuge in fantasy stories. But he will always be caught up and confronted violently, on several occasions, with his responsibilities and to a reality imposed by others.
He will not find any respite as long as he is locked into a role. He wants to be the emperor of the world, to achieve absolute freedom.
But he cannot achieve his goal without leaving behind those who have been part of his life.
He has to let go in order to go higher.
